NIZAR JAMALUDDIN SHOULD NOT QUIT

Former Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin said he does not intend to remain as Perak FA president forever and will quit when the time was right.

Nizar said Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir's call for him to resign as the president due to the financial situation of the association was unprofessional, especially as the head of a state."I had met Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) secretary general Datuk Azzuddin Ahmad last week and briefed him of my stand, position, resources and my limited financial resources to assist the association," he said in a statement
He added that the financial crisis faced by the FA was due to poor ticket sales and arrears in salary of players for June and July."
In my seven months at the helm, I understand that the FA had old debts amounting to RM3 million," he said.On Wednesday, Zambry had urged Nizar to give up the president's post of cash-strapped Perak FA since its financial status was critical and suggested it would be better for someone else to take over the leadership.
