NOT IMPRESSIVE ...

Favourite teams Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Kelantan and Perlis began their Malaysia Cup campaign by winning their matches Saturday night.In Group D, Selangor collected three points after beating Sabah 1-0 at Kompleks Sukan Tawau.

The only goal was scored by Mohd Safee Sali (26th min).Selangor, the FA Cup and Super League champions had to share top spot with PDRM which beat Kuala Muda NAZA 1-0 at Stadium Majlis Perbandaran Selayang.Malaysia Cup holders Kedah only managed a 1-1 draw with Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) in a Group E match at Stadium Darulaman, Alor Setar.

Kedah opened scoring when Farizal Abu Bakar scored in the 6th min while ATM equalised via M.Chandrasekar in the 78th min.In other matches, Kelantan beat Penang 2-1 at Stadium Batu Kawan, Penang while Negeri Sembilan beat Johor 2-1 at Stadium Tan Sri Hassan Yunos, Johor Baharu.

In Group B, Terengganu beat Sarawak 1-0 at Stadium Sarawak while Perlis beat Melaka 2-0 at Stadium Hang Tuah, Melaka while Pahang and KL Plus drew 1-1 at Stadium Darul Makmur, Kuantan.Johor FC and Perak topped Group C after they won 1-0 against Kuala Lumpur and UPB-MyTEAM respectively.
