KELATE TO MARCH ON

The loss of inspirational striker Indera Putera Mahayuddin has left Kelantan coach B.Sathianathan a worried man as he plans for the Malaysia Cup semi-final second leg against Perlis."

Indera Putra was shown the second yellow card last night, meaning he will not be allowed to play in the next game."I am not sure whether the rules say two or three yellow cards. I will have to check the Malaysia Cup rules," he told reporters here Tuesday night.

Kelantan beat Perlis 2-0 in the Malaysia Cup semi-final first leg at Sultan Muhammed IV Stadium here last night.Sathianathan said he was still dissatisfied with the 'Red Warriors' performance and described it as a lucky win."Perlis controlled most of the game in the first half but we were lucky to scroe two goals," he said.

The coach expected Perlis to be better prepared in the second leg as the game would be played at their home turf.Meanwhile, Perlis coach Irfan Bakti said he would plan a more effective strategy to ensure a win for the 'Northern Lions'.He said as the second placed team in the Malaysia Cup, Perlis players should not have panicked last night."The strong support shown by Kelantan fans made me feel like I was in England. It put pressure on my players," he said.(Bernama)
