Pengurniaan bas untuk kegunaan pasukan Harimau Malaya oleh DYAM Mejar Jeneral Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, Presiden Persatuan Bolasepak Malaysia (FAM) adalah sesuatu yang sudah pastinya memberi keselesaan buat pasukan negara.

 Selain daripada satu kemudahan kepada pasukan, ianya adalah menarik kerana sudah tentu bas tersebut juga bakal memberi identiti tersendiri kepada pasukan kebangsaan kita.

 Pada masa akan datang, kita mungkin akan dapat melihat pelbagai lagi infrastruktur dan fasiliti yang disediakan oleh Tunku Presiden sebagaimana baginda lakukan kepada kelab bola sepak Johor Darul Takzim sebelum ini.

 Semoga langkah demi langkah yang diusahakan oleh Tunku Presiden akan memberikan semangat serta moral kepada barisan pemain negara sekaligus mengembalikan kegemilangan bola sepak negara.

Adidas Football Reveals FC Bayern Munich Home Kit for the 2017/18 Season

Kuala Lumpur (18 May, 2017) – Adidas Football today revealed the FC Bayern home kit for the 2017/18 season which draws inspiration from one of the most iconic shirts in the club’s history, a jersey worn in the successful period of the 70`s.

The 1970s jersey was worn by the likes of Beckenbauer, Hoeness and Müller during one of the most successful periods in the clubs history, laying the foundation for further success. The new kit pays homage to the past whilst being brought into the future thanks to technical, breathable fabrics and mesh engineering. The predominantly red jersey features thin, vertical white stripes alongside the classic adidas three stripes on the shoulder. FC Bayern’s motto “Mia San Mia” – roughly translating to “We know where we come from, who we are and what we aim for” – features on the reverse of the kit.

 To mark the launch, adidas has revealed a design film featuring Jürgen Rank, Senior Design Director, discussing how the club’s success in the 70’s inspired the design of the latest kit. It details the innovative materials used, the journey from ideation to creation and concludes by explaining how the latest kit is designed to inspire a new wave of players and fans, both on-pitch and on the streets.

AHP-MSP, BJSS tentukan kejuaraan Piala TNB

Kuala Lumpur (14 Mei 2017): Selepas sekian lama mengimpikan untuk mara ke pentas final Piala TNB Liga Hoki Malaysia, akhirnya AHP-MSP-Thunderbolt berjaya memenuhi impian itu selepas menewaskan Anderson Thunderbolt pada aksi separuh akhir hari ini di Stadium Tun Razak.

Bagaimanapun AHP-MSP tidak berdepan laluan mudah sebaliknya hanya mencatat kemenangan mutlak menerusi penentuan penalti shoot out 4-2 selepas kedua-dua pasukan terikat 3-3 tamat masa sebenar.

Dengan kemenangan itu, AHP-MSP akan bertemu SSTMI Thunderbolt pada aksi final Ahad ini.

SSTMI mara ke perlawanan akhir selepas menundukkan BJSS Thunderbolt 3-0.

Ketua jurulatih AHP-MSP Mohd Sufian Muhammad nyata gembira dengan kejayaan anak buahnya selain memberi pujian kerana berjuang habis-habisan untuk mengesahkan tiket ke final.

"Sudah lama kami menantikan saat ini dan hari ini impian menjadi kenyataan.

"Saya harus beri pujian kepada semua barisan pemain kerana mereka bersungguh-sungguh untuk mencatatkan kemenangan.

"Ini kerana walaupun pada satu ketika sudah mendahului 3-1, tetapi akhirnya perlawanan terpaksa ditentukan menerusi pukulan penalti shoot out.

"Akhirnya kemenangan tetap berpihak kepada kami.

"Terima kasih kepada semua pihak terutama TNB yang banyak memberi sokongan kepada kami sehingga berjaya mara ke final," katanya.

AHP-MSP di depan seawal minit ke-5 menerusi jaringan padang Muhammad Noor Firdaus Rosdi sebelum Muhammad Idris Samad menjadikan kedudukan 2-0 hasil pukulan sudut penalti seminit kemudian.

Tersentak dengan dua gol awal itu, Anderson menggandakan asakan dan akhirnya Muhd Aliff Ikhemal Zamri berjaya menyamakan kedudukan menerusi gol padang minit ke-30.

Namun Muhammad Noor Firdaus Rosdi terus mengukuhkan kedudukan hasil pukulan sudut penalti minit ke-32.

Anderson nyata tidak mudah menyerah kalah apabila Muhammad Akram Hakkam Jammaluddin merapatkan jurang menerusi jaringan padang minit ke-38 sebelum dia sekali lagi meledak gol  penyamaan minit ke-51 untuk mengheret perlawanan ke penentuan penalti shoot out.

It’s a Pahang Hockey Academy and SSTMI Final

 Kuala Lumpur (14 May, 2017): Thunderbolt teams Pahang Hockey Academy and Tunku Mahkota Ismail Sports School (SSTMI) qualified for Sunday’s 2017 TNB Junior Cup final at the Tun Razak Stadium.

Pahang Hockey Academy defeated Anderson Thunderbolt 4-2 on penalty shootouts after a 3-3 draw in regulation time while 2016 League champions SSTMI edged Bukit Jalil Sports School Thunderbolt, the 2016 overall champions, 3-0 in the semi-finals today.

The triumph over BJSS was sweet revenge for SSTMI who lost 6-5 on penalties to their arch rivals in a league match last month following a 2-2 draw. SSTMI goals today were scored by Muhammad Ariff Shafie (13^th and 53^rd minutes) and Shello Silverius (49^th minute).

It is also the second time that a team from Pahang reached the final of the Malaysian Junior Hockey League after Telekom Pahang’s success in 2002.

Pahang Hockey Academy led 3-1 with a brace from Muhammad Noor Firdaus (5^th and 32^nd minutes) and Muhammad Idris Samad’s sixth minute penalty corner conversion before  defensive blunders allowed the well organised  and disciplined Anderson forwards to move in search of the equaliser in the third and fourth quarters.

Anderson, who showed newly crowned League champions Majlis Bandaraya Petaling Jaya (MBPJ Tigers) the exit in last week’s quarterfinals, replied through Muhammad Aliff Ikhemal (30^th) and Muhammad Akram Hakkam (38^th and 51^st minutes) to draw level at 3-3 to force the match into penalty shootouts.

Syamil Azim Dzulkafly, Muhammad Izham Azhar, Muhammad Hazzim Amin Hafidz and Muhammad Noor Firdaus were successful for Pahang Hockey Academy in the shootouts whilst Anderson scored through Muhammad Akram Hakkam and Muhammad Nur Syahmi.

It was the second time Pahang Hockey Academy defeated Anderson in the 2017 TNBMJHL this season after posting a 3-1 victory in the league.

“We have reached our target of qualifying for the final this year. This was stated in our blue print when the Academy was formed in 2013,” said coach Mohd Suffian Mohamad. “The last time we reached the final was in 2002 when I played for Telekom Pahang.”

“The boys played an attacking game in the first two quarters and we scored early. Our past record against Anderson has always been close and we are aware of their strength,” he added.

Anderson coach, Mohd Nizam Hashim, however, credited his players for giving a respectable performance against the Pahang boys despite going down in penalty shootouts.

“The boys took it easy in the first quarter and upped the ante in the last two quarters to draw 3-3. We also had two clear chances to win but when you don’t take your chances it is going to be a tough battle all way winning the match in 60 minutes,” said Nizam.

“Overall, I believe the players did their very best in this match. Penalty shootouts are anybody’s game and as far as I am concerned it is unfortunate we lost in the shootout.”

Meanwhile, Kuala Lumpur Sports School Wipers and SSTMI also qualified for the women’s final. KL Wipers defeated MSSPP-PSHA-USM 3-1 whilst SSTMI clawed MSN Kedah 4-2 in the semi-finals played at the Kuala Lumpur HA Stadium.

KL Wipers trailed 1-0 by the eighth minute after Siti Nur Arfah had put MMSS-PSHA-USM into the lead. However, the city girls bounced back with goals in the third and fourth quarters through Siti Nur Amira (33^rd), Qasidah Najwa (49^th) and Siti Zulaika (58^th) to qualify for the final.

As for Bandar Penawar-based SSTMI, they led 2-1 with a field goal from Nur Syaza Afiqah (4^th minute) and Nur Arisha Asrul’s penalty corner conversion five minutes later before MSN Kedah equalised through Nur Amirah Shakirah’s double strikes in the 12^th and 19^th minutes via open play.

Nur Afiqah Syahzani increased the lead to 3-1 in the 37^th minute and Nor Fatin Nabila sealed victory for SSTMI with a late penalty corner goal.

Anderson ends MBPJ run in quarterfinals

Kuala Lumpur (12 May, 2017): Anderson Thunderbolt crushed League champions Majlis Bandaraya Petaling Jaya‘s (MBPJ Tigers) run in the Malaysian Junior Hockey League for the TNB Junior Cup following a 3-2 victory in the quarterfinals at the MBPJ Stadium today.

It was Anderson’s second appearance in the semi-finals of the TNB Junior Cup. They defeated UniKL Young Guns in the quarterfinals last year but lost 5-4 to overall champions Bukit Jalil Sports School Thunderbolt in the last four.

It was also a ‘winning day’ for three other TNB Thunderbolt teams in the quarterfinals. Tunku Mahkota Ismail Sports School defeated SMK Dato Bentara Luar Johor Juniors 5-0 in Batu Pahat, Pahang Hockey Academy edged SSTMI Juniors 3-1in Kuantan whilst BJSS pulverised Division Two champions Sabah Sports School Malaysia 6-2 at the Pandamaran Stadium in Klang.

In Sunday’s semi-finals at the Tun Razak Hockey Stadium, Anderson, who finished fifth in the league, go face to face against Pahang Hockey Academy whilst BJSS Thunderbolt plays 2016 league champions SSTMI Thunderbolt.

MBPP Tigers defeated Anderson 3-1 in the 2017 league but found the going tough this time around as the Ipoh-based school grabbed the lead in the 4^th minute via a Muhammad Najme Ahmad Hayazi field goal. MBPJ, however, clawed back with two penalty corner goals through Muhammad Nur Asyraf Ishak in the 20^th and 42^nd minutes to go 2-1 ahead in the third quarter.

Defensive error in the 45^th minute by MBPJ, whose players came under pressure to cross the quarterfinal hurdle after winning the league just a week ago, proved costly as Anderson bounced back to equalise through Muhammad Aiman Shahmi Marzuki from a penalty corner and with nine minutes before the end Muhammad Aliff Ikhemal Zamri netted the winning goal from open play.

“I praise the boys for playing to instruction and commitment. We played at a much higher level today. We knew MBPJ were strong in penalty corners and we curtailed their attacking structure,” said Anderson head coach M. Kaliswaran.

“We will face Pahang Hockey Academy in the semi-finals and it going to be another tough game for us. PHA has been playing well in the league. We lost 3-1 to them in the league and the players have a great chance to qualify for the final if they play the same kind of game as today,” he added.

A dejected MmPJ (MBPJ) Tigers head coach, Mohd Harfizi Baharom, said: “We played badly today. Nothing really went right against Anderson. I think the players were under tremendous pressure to maintain their winning run after lifting the league title last week. I am really disappointed.”

Over in Batu Pahat, Muhammad Akhimullah Anuar Esook scored a brace against Johor Juniors to SSTMI their second won over their arch rivals. STTMI Thunderbolt and Johor Juniors drew 1-1 but prevailed 4-2 in penalty shootouts.

BJSS coach Lokman Yahya, observed: “The team played more than 100 percent in the match. It is good that we beat them by scoring six goals and I am confident my players will play much better against SSTMI in the semi-finals.”

MBPJ Tigers claim Division One crown

Kuala Lumpur (7 May, 2017): Majlis Bandaraya Petaling Jaya (MBPJ Tigers) created a new chapter in the TNB Malaysian Junior Hockey League when they clinched the Division One League title for the first time at the MBPJ Stadium.

 The champions defeated Bukit Jalil Sports School Thunderbolt 7-6 in penalty shootout after registering a 2-2 draw in regulation time. Under the tournament rules, two points are awarded to the winning team in a shootout and one point to the losing side. MBPJ have thus pooled 23 points – two points clear of Tunku Mahkota Ismail Sports School Thunderbolt whilst BJSS Thunderbolts amassed 19 points to go third in the standings.

 Two other Thunderbolt teams – Pahang Hockey Academy and SMK Anderson finished in fourth and fifth spots respectively on 17 points while SMK Dato Bentara Luar Johor Tigers claimed sixth position (15 points) followed by Universiti Kuala Lumpur Young Guns (9), Olak-Nurinsafi (8), Politeknik Malaysia-KPT (5 points) and BJSS Juniors last in the 10-team league with just one point.

 MBPJ won the Overall Championship in 2006 and have never claimed the league since the inaugural MJHL in 1995. SSTMI won the League last year whilst BJSS Thunderbolt clinched the Overall Championship. Today’s victory by MBPJ also clearly ended Thunderbolt teams’ domination of the MJHL.

 “This is unbelievable,” said an ecstatic MBPJ Tigers coach Mohd Harfizi Baharom. “I told the players before the start of the match that this is our only chance to win the league title and don’t let this chance go to waste.”

 “They played hard to win the title and we are incredibly excited. We led 2-0 and I think the boys got carried away which allowed BJSS to comeback for the equaliser. This is something we must not allow to happen in the quarterfinals of the TNB Junior Cup for the Overall Championship,” he added.
Having beaten three Thunderbolt teams in the league namely Anderson Thunderbolt (3-1), SSTMI Thunderbolt (3-2) and Pahang Hockey Academy Thunderbolt (3-2) respectively, MBPJ went on the hunt with goals from Muhammad Syafiq Izzudin Ibrahim in the 19th minute from a field goal and Muhammad Nur Asyraf’s 37th minute penalty corner conversion.

 BJSS Thunderbolt, however, regrouped in the third quarter and scored two consecutive goals within a space of one minute. Muhammad Ramdan Ariffin netted both goals from penalty corners in the 38th and 39th minutes.

 A dejected BJSS Thunderbolt head coach BJSS Coach Lokman Yahya, however, commended MBPJ for their fight spirit and mental strength in keeping BJSS forwards at bay in this nail-biting encounter.
“We created a lot of chances and the boys can only blame themselves for letting this opportunity go away after SSTMI was held to a 1-1 draw by Johor Tigers,” he said. “There was a good chance of winning here,” said Lokman.

 “Nevertheless it was a tough and exciting match which could have gone any way. We will now work on our mistakes here and hope to do much better in the quarterfinals stage to win the Overall Championship.”

 In Batu Pahat, title contenders SSTMI played out a 1-1 draw against SMK Dato Bentara Johor Tigers in regulation time and then prevailed 4-2 in penalty shootout. Muhammad Adib Adam fired Johor Tigers ahead in the 47th minute with a field goal but SSTMI equalised through a Muhammad Ariff Syafie penalty corner four minutes later. In the shootout, Mohd Hanif Saad, Mohd Akhimullah Anuar Esook, Shello Silverius and Muhammad Amirul Hamizan were successful for SSTMI.

Anderson Thunderbolt triumphed 5-3 over UniKL Young Guns at the Sultan Azlan Shah Stadium in Ipoh. Muhammad Azrai Aizad scored two goals (20th and 52nd minutes) for Anderson while Ahmad Nazmi Mokhtar (29th), Muhammad Afiz Iqbal (35th) and Muhammad Akram Hakkam (38th) added a piece. As for UniKL Young Guns, the goals came through Muhammad Chairil Daniel (27th), Izzat Rais (46th) and Muhammad Hilmi Zulkifli (59th minute).

The combination of Olak-Nurinsafi defeated Politeknik Malaysia KPT 4-2 at the Pandamaran Stadium. It was Olak-Nurinsafi’s second win in the league.

The top six teams in Division One and the top two teams in Division Two qualify for the quarterfinals stage of the TNB Junior Cup for the Overall Championship which begins on Friday (May 12).

Meanwhile, Sabah Sports School Malaysia Resilient emerged Division Two champions following a 3-1 win over SSTMI Juniors in the final at the Tun Razak Stadium. Sabah Sports School dominated the match by taking a 2-0 lead with goals from Morris Ramilan and Nasrum Syahkir Sadikul in the 9th and 12th minutes respectively.

Muhammad Ikhmal Hakim Mohd Rodzi reduced the deficit in the 48th minute for SSTMI Juniors via a penalty stroke, but six minutes later Muhajir Abdu Rauf ended SSTMI Juniors hopes of a comeback by converting a penalty stroke to ensure the East Malaysians go home with a 3-1 victory.

 Malacca Warriors defeated Perlis Young Lions 2-1 in the third-fourth placing match. Muhammad Afif Azfar Salim scored a brace in the 12th and 33rd minutes before Muhd Adam Akhir Elias replied for Young Lions.

Impressive TNB climb to third

Kuala Lumpur (22 January, 2017): Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) exerted their dominance over Premier Division debutants, UITM-KPT as they came out 4-0 victors in their TNBMHL 2017 match at the Kuala Lumpur Hockey Stadium.

TNB dominated their match against the visitors, however, they were wasteful in front of goal especially in the first half when they saw both their penalty corners saved by UITM’s goalkeeper, Mohamad Adi Fazri Ab Rahim.

UITM-KPT held out to a goalless first half and when the second half resumed, Mohamad Adi Fazri was again the hero as he produced two fine saves to deny TNB the lead through two more penalty corners.

However, he and his defense were unable to prevent TNB from breaking the deadlock when Muhd Ramadan Rosli finally converted TNB’s fifth penalty corner in the 34^th minute.

Another penalty corner three minutes later saw Muhd Firdaus Omar adding a second for the hosts just before Muhd Ramadan scored his second of the night through a field goal in the 41^st minute.

TNB piled more misery on UITM-KPT when Nik Muhammad Aiman Nik Rozemi got on the scoresheet after scoring through a field goal in the 58^th minute.

Coach Muhamad Amin Rahim was satisfied with the three important points bagged in their win today, however, he believed his team could have performed better against a young and inexperienced UITM-KPT side.

“We will try to improve our performance especially in our next match against top-of-the-table KLHC. We will also welcome a possible return of Syed Mohamad Syafiq Syed Cholan and Muhammad Hafiizhuddin Zaidi from injury as we are currently waiting for medical clearance before fielding them in the next match,” said the former national player.

He added, that TNB will put up a good fight when coming up against tougher opponents such as, Kuala Lumpur Hockey Club (KLHC) and Terengganu Hockey Team (THT).

TNB now occupy third place with 12 points from five matches this season.

The earlier match at the Kuala Lumpur Hockey Stadium saw UniKL’s winning streak come to an end when they were defeated 2-0 by KLHC.

UniKL had a bright start to the match with a series of chances going wide of the opposition’s goal including fluffing a penalty corner which was hit directly at a KLHC defender.

In the second quarter, Lachlan Gerald Stock almost put UniKL in front only to witness his well-taken shot coming of the foot of the post.

KLHC, on the other hand, saw their 1^st penalty corner of the match saved by UniKL’s Argentina international goalkeeper, Tomas Matias Santiago as both teams head into the break after a goalless first half.

However, just 4 minutes into the second half, Muhammad Noor Faeez Ibrahim broke the deadlock when he converted a penalty corner to give KLHC a 1-0 lead.

It did not take long for the hosts to add a second in the 43^rd minute through national player, Muhammad Haziq Samsul’s brilliant solo run. 

UniKL came close to reducing the deficit to a single goal just before the match ended when Pakistan international, Muhammad Aleem Bilal’s shot from a penalty corner flew wide of the goal.

Today’s win for KLHC sees them leapfrog UniKL into second place who drop to fourth in the league standings.

THT climb to top spot after defeating Maybank 3-0 at the MBMB Hockey Stadium. The in-form Jang Jonghyun opened the scoring as early in the 6^th minute when he converted a penalty corner before Faizal Saari gave his team a 2-0 lead just before the end of first-half through a well taken field goal.

Muhd Firhan Ashaari put the match beyond reach when he added the third of the night through another field goal in the 42^nd minute.

Meanwhile at the SSTMI Hockey Stadium, TNB-Thunderbolts registered their first win of the season when they cruised to a 3-0 victory over Tunku Ismail Sports School (SSTMI).

It took only five minutes for TNB-Thunderbolts to decide the outcome of the match when Muhd. Arai Aizad Abu Kamal scored a brace in the 1^st and the 5^th minute on either side of Mohd. Akhimullah Anuar Esook’s field goal in the second minute.
