EPF MUST TAKE ACTION AGAINST THESE IRRESPONSIBLE STATES

IF a corporate company did not comply with the EPF's laws, that particular company would have been taken to court or any other punishment that is deemed fit, but why is EPF waiting to take action against these states. Since 2006 the problem has not been resolved. EPF must take action now before RM 6 million becomes RM 60 million. In Malaysia any thing can happen .. This is BOLEHLAND.

SAME OLD STORY ! SAME OLD RUBBISH !

THE Employees Provident Fund (EPF) has instructed the state football associations to settle the outstanding amount of RM5.4 million which has
been due since 2006.

Timesport has been informed that the EPF sent the FA of Malaysia (FAM) a letter to instruct the State FAs to settle the outstanding amount.
It is also learnt that a number of states are facing legal action for non-payment.

"The onus is on the State and clubs and we are not going to solve this problem for them." said FAM general secretary Datuk Azzuddin Ahmad

Kedah FA is the highest on the list as they owe EPF RM800,000, while Perak and Perlis FAs are second with RM600,000 and Selangor RM170,000.

" The FAM president Sultan Ahmad Shah has instructed the secretariat to send a letter to all states and clubs requesting them to submit a
repayment plan by Sept 15," added Azzuddin.

It is also learnt that Sultan Ahmad Shah is upset that the state FAs are repeating their mistakes . Kuala Lumpur, Negri Sembilan, Kelantan and Penang are the only states
prompt in their contributions. This problem is expected to get worse next year as many states are
using the FAM grant to settle their outstanding debts.

Read the Story Below, and see how different it is now, FAM all talk but no action. FAM does not have enough strength and power to throw the states out, FAM is weak , FAM fears the states simply because the top officials depend on the votes that comes from the states.

In Malaysia it is the State FA's that calls the shot not FAM, FAM are just implementers.

For the the last 15 years we been told about this same old rubbish, but nothing is done, I dare FAM to take action against Pahang. Just look at the pathetic situation. Even the State, where the President comes from is not in order. Come on FAM, don't give us this lame stories that has been told over and over again. I dare you to walk the talk, or else resign!

THE Employees Provident Fund (EPF) warned action will be taken action
errant State FAs, including dragging them to court, for failing to pay
contributions on behalf of their players.

EPF Public Relations general manager Nik Affendi Jaafar stressed that legal action was initiated against State FAs in the past and that EPF will continue to do so in order to protect the interest of the employees — the players.

The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM), during their competitions committee meeting yesterday, revealed that several State FAs have defaulted in making EPF payments. The total sum mentioned was in excess of RM6 million. This figure excludes outstanding wages due to players.

“There have been associations that were charged. This has been a problem for sometime now,” said Nik Affendi. “We know some associations are facing financial difficulties and we sympathise with them but the employers must be mindful of their legal obligations. Our concern is to safeguard the players’ savings.”

The Kedah FA top the list with more than RM2.7 million owing to EPF while Kelantan have yet to pay RM855,611. The list, titled Ringkasan Status Tindakan Terhadap Majikan Gagal Mencarum setakat 27 July 2009 (Summary of the status of action taken towards defaulting employers as of 27 July 2009), was tabled during the competitions committee meeting.

It is unclear if any of the State FAs mentioned have cleared their debts to date. A total of 126 employers were fined RM214,190 in the first quarter of 2009 for failure to pay EPF contributions which falls under Section 43(2) EPF Act 1991.

The Act stipulates that employers are to remit the monthly contributions before or on the 15th day of every month or face legal action.

During the same period, a total of 1,194 civil suits and 1,849 criminal cases were filed with the courts against those who have defaulted on payments.

“No one can escape from us. We’ve been working closely with FAM and they are well aware of the situation with the State FAs. “Any party which defaults for two months will be served a reminder, following which legal action will be instituted,” added Nik Affendi.- Story by Haresh Deol.

YOUNG TIGERS WINS PREMIER LEAGUE TITLE

This is song dedicated to the Young Tigers who clinched their Premier League title at the National Stadium, Bukit Jalil as they defeated KL 2-1.

Despite winning the Young Tigers were not presented the trophy, simply because the FAM was not sure if they could win it or lose the title.

FAM, HOW ABOUT SOME FAIRPLAY?

ONE wonders if FAM Competitions Committee Chairman, Datuk Che Mat Jusoh is aware of what Young Tigers are made of?

First of all, Young Tigers are a professional team and not an amateur team as claimed by certain quarters, maybe one is not aware of the difference between a professional and an amateur team.

The 28 players in the Young Tigers squad are all contracted for 2 years and players are paid salaries around RM 4500.00 excluding of match bonuses and all players are fully sponsored by Nike. The Young Tigers are provided with accommodation and meals at Wisma FAM, and they are also sent overseas for training.

Amateurs players do not get any of the above except for training allowances. So let’s set the record straight that the Young Tigers are a professional team.

FIRST STORY

HADIAH wang RM200,000 untuk juara Liga Perdana akan menjadi milik T-Team, pasukan Persatuan Bola Sepak Kuala Terengganu, yang pertama kali bertarung dalam saingan itu musim ini.

Apapun keputusan perlawanan terakhir liga, Ahad ini antara T-Team dan Shahzan Muda, dan juga pendahulu liga, Harimau Muda dan Kuala Lumpur, segala keistimewaan yang diberikan kepada juara juga menjadi milik T-Team.

Ini kerana, menurut Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Pertandingan Persatuan Bola Sepak Malaysia (FAM), Datuk Che Mat Jusoh, pembabitan Harimau Muda cuma sebagai pasukan jemputan yang memerlukan pendedahan dan latihan.

Walaupun skuad belia kebangsaan itu mengungguli liga jika mereka menang atau seri dengan Kuala Lumpur nanti, mereka tetap tidak naik ke Liga Super atau menerima hadiah kemenangan.

SECOND STORY

MALAM esok, Harimau Muda bakal bergelar juara Liga Perdana 2009 jika mengalahkan Kuala Lumpur tetapi mereka terpaksa menerima hakikat tidak akan mendapat sebarang habuan sebaliknya pasukan di tangga kedua, T-Team akan tersenyum lebar apabila imbuhan juara akan masuk ke kantung mereka. akan melengkapkan jadual Liga Perdana 2009 dengan menentang Kuala Lumpur dan kemenangan akan menobatkan skuad bimbingan jurulatih Ong Kim Swee itu sebagai juara musim ini.

Mungkin kedengaran agak aneh apabila skuad bergelar juara tidak akan mendapat sebarang imbuhan yang ditawarkan kepada pasukan yang memenangi Liga Perdana tapi itulah hakikat yang terpaksa ditelan Harimau Muda.

Kalaupun di Stadium Nasional Bukit Jalil malam esok menyaksikan Harimau Muda menang sekali gus bergelar juara, mereka hanya boleh berbangga dengan gelaran semata-mata dan pasukan yang bakal tersenyum lebar ialah T-Team kerana walaupun menduduki tangga kedua, semua keistimewaan termasuk imbuhan selaku juara akan masuk ke kantung mereka.

Enggan perkara itu menimbulkan sebarang reaksi yang tidak diingini, Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Pertandingan Tempatan (JKPT) Persatuan Bola Sepak Malaysia (FAM), Datuk Che Mat Jusoh bingkas melerai semua persoalan yang dirasanya mungkin ditimbulkan banyak pihak.

I am quite puzzled by Che Mat’s statement just one day before the crucial game, as the Young Tigers will take on KL tonight at the National Stadium Bukit Jalil.

Maybe he wants the Young Tigers to fall, so that T-Team which is funded by UMNO politicians from Terengganu could see action in Super League next season. Why did Che Mat make such a statement condemning the players, instead of coming out to say that they hoped the players will make FAM proud by winning the Premier League Title ?

The Young Tigers only need one point to win the Premier League title.
Are these are the kind of officials that have been entrusted to provide the council with a new format for Malaysian Super League? I cannot imagine what the recommendation would be.

Young Tigers should be given the prize money. After all, they are professional and they have slogged and worked hard for the rewards. People like Che Mat Jusoh should just keep silent and ensure that the development of a proper structure, instead of constantly coming up with league structures that have only sent our national team to the doldrums.

If FAM decides that RM 200,000 cannot be given to them, then the money should be used for training stints, and not reward a team that has finished second.

These are officials who are absent to watch our national team in action, but are present to watch Manchester United playing, maybe FAM General Secretary Datuk Azzuddin Ahmad, should prepare an attendance list to check how many FAM officials and council members come to watch their very own team in action. This is how pathetic and shameful they are, yet so damaging with their statements.

“Bang, saya sedih kerana FAM sendiri tak percayakan kami boleh menang malam, mereka nak kita kalah “ a Young Tiger player sent me that SMS last night.

While FAM’s administration and K.Rajagopal slogged for two years in preparing the team, now Ong Kim Swee has taken over the challenge, I think it is only fair that FAM rewards the team accordingly, and not to reward T-Team even if they finish second.

In sports we only honour Champions, while those who finish second have to try harder next year, so I hope tonight the YOUNG TIGERS will ‘ roar ‘ and be crowned the Champions of the Premier League.

A TRIBUTE TO A LEGEND

FOOTBALL MOURNS LOSS OF SIR BOBBY

Former England manager Sir Bobby Robson has passed away at the age of 76, having finally lost a long battle against cancer.Robson, who distinguished himself first during a lengthy tenure that put Ipswich Town back on the map with FA Cup and UEFA Cup wins in 1978 and 1982 respectively, took on the England job and led them to the semi finals of the World Cup in 1990.

A spell on the continent included jobs at PSV Eindhoven, Sporting Lisbon, FC Porto and Barcelona before a return to his North-East roots at Newcastle United in 1999.

The County Durham native was taken to the hearts of the Geordie nation as he led them back into European football while playing a brand of football that won the hearts of many a neutral. Robson's controversial sacking in August 2004 is often said to mark the beginning of Newcastle's current problems.

Robson was an England international as a player, where he served Fulham, West Bromwich Albion and briefly for the defunct Vancouver Royals, and featured briefly at the 1962 World Cup.
He had been a cancer sufferer for 18 years, suffering five different bouts of the disease. Last Sunday saw Newcastle United stage a charity game between former English and German internationals from his original 1990 World Cup squads and other special guests in aid of the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation.

"It is with great sadness that it has been announced that Sir Bobby Robson has lost his long and courageous battle with cancer," read a statement released by Robson's family. "He died very peacefully this morning at his home in County Durham with his wife and family beside him.

"Sir Bobby's funeral will be private and for family members only. A thanksgiving service in celebration of Sir Bobby's life will be held at a later date for his many friends and colleagues.

"Lady Robson and the family would very much appreciate it if their privacy could be respected at this difficult time.
